How to Live a Multi-Dimensional Life
In writing, an author calls a character who doesn’t have an arc through the story, one-dimensional. Its defined as a character who is the same at the beginning as they are at the end. Is that how you want to be described? Isn’t the whole point of life to change and learn and grow, have ups and downs, and be different at the end than we were at the beginning? It can feel so engrained in us that we have to define people as one thing. We define people as their job, as them being a parent, or we define someone by their likes or dislikes. When really, we’re all multi-dimensional and we should be recognized for it. So if you feel like you’ve lost parts of yourself, or have become too one-dimensional, how do you take the step back into becoming the multi-dimensional person, with lots of likes and interests that you were meant to be?
